Candidate Terms

Last updated: 28 de setembro de 2026 (version 2026-09-28)

These Terms govern your candidate account on the i8talent platform, operated by INTELLIGENCE8 TECNOLOGIA LTDA., registered under Brazilian company number (CNPJ) 12.651.460/0001-69, with its seat in Itatiba/SP, Brazil (“Intelligence8”). They cover the CV and the data you choose to keep in your own area — not the applications you send to a company, which remain governed by the Privacy Policy.

This document is a single one and applies to candidates in any country. The original text is Brazilian Portuguese; versions in other languages are courtesy translations, and in the event of a discrepancy the Portuguese text prevails.

1. What your account is for

The account exists so you can follow your applications across every company on the platform, keep a CV that is yours, read your interviews back and exercise your rights without depending on anyone. Your identity is your email address, confirmed by a single-use code: there is no password, and whoever controls the mailbox controls the account. A session lasts 2 hours, and you can end every open session at any time.

2. Two different relationships — and which one this document governs

When you apply for a job, the company that published it decides the process: it chooses the criteria, reads the result and decides who moves on. In that processing Intelligence8 is a processor — it carries out what the company asks. The CV you keep in your own area is a different matter: no company asked for it to exist, it does not belong to any hiring process, and it is Intelligence8 that answers for it. It is this second relationship that these Terms govern.

What you doWho answers for your data
You apply for a jobThe company that published the job. It is the controller; Intelligence8 processes the data on its behalf and on its instructions.
You keep a CV in your own areaIntelligence8. The CV is yours and belongs to no hiring process — it is Intelligence8 that answers for keeping it.
You open your CV to opportunitiesIntelligence8, and it is Intelligence8 that decides which companies may see it, within the limits of section 4.

3. What is stored in your account

  • Your email address, which is your identity here, and the access codes you request (erased shortly after they are used or expire).
  • The CV: the PDF file you upload, when you upload one, and its text — extracted from the file and reviewed by you before it is stored.
  • Contact and links: name, phone, LinkedIn and GitHub, when you fill them in. Phone and links may arrive as suggestions from reading the PDF; nothing is stored without your confirmation.
  • Your notification preferences by email, which apply to all of your applications, and the choices you make job by job.
  • Your visibility decision — open or closed to opportunities — with the date and the record that it was you who made it.

What we do not ask for, and do not store in your CV: photograph, date of birth or age, marital status, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, children, parentage, national identity or driving licence numbers, full address, health or disability data, and trade-union or political affiliation. If you write any of those into the CV text, it will stay where you wrote it — and you can edit or erase it whenever you like.

4. “Open to opportunities”: exactly what happens

While you do not open your CV, it only serves the applications you send yourself: no company finds it in a search. If you do open it, and only then, the following applies — and that is why your acceptance of these Terms is required:

  • Companies that are clients of the platform can find you through a word search, even ones you never applied to. The search covers your name and the text of your CV.
  • The result list shows your name, an excerpt of the CV and how recently you used your area. It does not show your contact details.
  • To see your email, phone and links, a company has to open your contact details, one person at a time — and every opening is recorded in an audit trail, with the date and who did it.
  • None of your scores, ratings or assessments are shown. An evaluation made for one job says nothing about another, which is why it never leaves the process it was made in.
  • Phone, LinkedIn and GitHub are not in the search index: nobody can search the database starting from a phone number they already have.
  • A CV left unused for 24 months drops out of search on its own. Simply visiting your area brings it back.

Closing is immediate, and it is yours to do. At any moment, in your own area, you close the CV and it leaves the search. Closing does not erase what companies have already seen or the contact details already opened — that is not something we can reverse — and it does not affect the applications you sent. This consent is also independent of each company's own talent pool: a “yes” here does not undo a “no” you gave to one of them.

5. What Intelligence8 does not do with your CV

  • Does not sell, rent or transfer your data to anyone, for any purpose.
  • Does not show your CV to anyone who is not a client of the platform, and does not publish it on a page open to the internet.
  • Does not use your CV to train artificial-intelligence models, ours or anyone else's.
  • Does not send advertising, and does not use your email address for anything beyond the notices you control and the outcome of your applications.
  • Never charges you anything. If anyone asks for payment in the name of a job or to “feature” your CV, it is a scam — and it is not us.

6. Artificial intelligence

Reading your PDF to suggest phone, LinkedIn and GitHub does not use artificial intelligence: it is format recognition, and you check the result before it is stored. The search companies run in the open pool uses no model either — it is a word index, and results are ordered by recent activity, never by a judgement about you. The AI screening interview happens inside an application, when you apply for a job, and is described in the Privacy Policy; it has no connection to the CV in this account.

7. Your rights, exercisable right here

  • See and correct: the CV, the contact details and the preferences live in your area, editable at any time.
  • Withdraw an application: you leave that process, and the company is told. The record of the process is preserved.
  • Erase the data of one application: removes that application, its interview and the CV uploaded with it, for good.
  • Erase everything: under Settings, deletion reaches every application at every company, your profile, the CVs and the open sessions. We ask for a code by email first, because the operation cannot be undone.
  • Close your CV to opportunities, without erasing anything, when all you want is to stop being approached.

Anything not within your reach on screen, or any question about the processing, you can request through the privacy channel: privacidade@intelligence8.com. The data protection officer is identified in the Privacy Policy. A request about an application may also be addressed to the company that published the job, which is the controller of that processing.

8. How long we keep it

Your CV and your account data are kept as long as the account exists — you decide when they go. A CV open to opportunities and unused for 24 months stops appearing in searches, but stays in your area, waiting for you to come back. After a full deletion, all that remains is the deletion receipt and the record of the consents you gave, in pseudonymised form (without your email address in the clear): they are the proof that the processing was lawful while it lasted, and the Privacy Policy describes exactly what they are.

9. The account is free

The candidate account is and will remain free. You do not pay to apply, to keep a CV, to be found, or to exercise any right described here. Those who pay for the platform are the companies that hire it, for the screening interviews they run.

10. What we expect from you

That the CV is yours and that what it says is true. Do not use the account to send another person's data, to pass yourself off as someone you are not, or to put unlawful or offensive content — or instructions aimed at automated systems — into the text. Accounts used that way may be suspended or closed, and an application made with a third party's data may be removed at the request of the person it belongs to.

11. Changes to this document

We may change these Terms. The published version is always the one that applies, and the acceptance you gave records which text you read. When the version changes, we ask you to accept again so that your CV stays open to opportunities — and we close nothing on our own in the meantime: whoever opened it stays open, because that decision is yours, not ours. The account's other functions remain available regardless of acceptance.

12. Ending the account

You close the account whenever you like, by erasing all of your data under Settings. We only close an account in the cases in section 10, or if the platform ceases to operate — and in that case with prior notice by email and time for you to export or erase whatever you wish.

13. Limits

The platform is a tool and promises no job: keeping a CV here, and even opening it to opportunities, does not guarantee that any company will approach you, reply or hire you. Hiring decisions belong to the company, on its own criteria. We do what is reasonable to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. That does not displace the rights granted to you by the data protection law of your country of residence: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with its own regime, those rights continue to apply and are described in the Privacy Policy. The courts of Itatiba/SP are elected, without prejudice to a consumer's right to sue in the courts of their own domicile.
